August 22, 2020 - Topless 100 brings Armstrong to Batesville Motor Speedway
On Thursday evening Drew Armstrong visited Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) to take part in the Comp Cams Topless 100 weekend. With 48 cars on hand for the event co-sanctioned by Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Drew timed in sixth fastest in his qualifying group before fading back to a sixth place finish in his heat. Slated to start ninth in his B-Main for another shot at the opening night preliminary feature, Armstrong failed to make it out for the 12-lapper.

With preliminary results from Thursday and Friday setting the grid for Saturday night’s main event, Drew sat 27th overall in preliminary points, sending him into the B-Main. Locking the Top 3 into the $40,000-to-win Comp Cams Topless 100, Armstrong came one spot short with a fourth place outing.

August 16, 2020 - Armstrong attends North/South weekend at Florence, makes Hell Tour debut at Lincoln
Wednesday night found Drew Armstrong in action at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) for the 34th annual Ralph Latham Memorial. Drawing 53 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Armstrong failed to record a time in qualifying, sending him to the tail of his heat. Coming in ninth, Drew had one more shot at the opening night feature with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place second or better, Armstrong logged a 16th place outing.

The following night for the North/South Shootout, Drew timed in 18th fastest in his group before placing seventh in his heat. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Armstrong posted an 11th place finish.

With a pair of heat races on Friday afternoon setting the grid for the North/South 100 on Saturday, Armstrong logged a fourth place finish before Mother Nature postponed the second round to Saturday afternoon. Coming in sixth in his second heat, Drew transferred into the B-Main for one last shot at the $50,000-to-win Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100. On Sunday afternoon Armstrong made the trip to Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Ill.) to make his debut with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals. With 27 cars on hand for the 19th round of the Hell Tour, Drew followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Frank Heckenast Jr. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Drew Armstrong slipped back to a 13th place outing in the 40-lap affair.

August 1, 2020 - Top 10 finish in Larry Phillips Memorial at West Plains
Drew Armstrong returned behind the wheel of the Lawson Motorsports No. 11J Late Model on Friday evening at Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) for the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned contest. In a field of 26 cars, Armstrong edged his way into the opening night feature with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat. Slated to roll off 10th, persistent rain rolled in and postponed the 40-lap feature to September 3rd.

On Saturday evening at Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Mo.) for the Larry Phillips Memorial, Drew came one spot shy of a transfer position in heat with a fourth place finish. Scoring a runner-up spot in his B-Main behind Kyle Beard, Armstrong locked into the 16th-starting position for the $5,075-to-win finale.
